We want to give a big “Thank You!”, to the wonderful vendors who contributed fantastic prizes to our February raffle!

Art and Jenny’s Sewing Machine Center, Quilt Ventura and  Homespun Treasures were all so generous in their support of VMQG!

Also, we had many members who contributed fabric, kits and other goodies to our basket of prizes which was won by the very lucky Barbara L.!!

A big “THANKS” also goes to Rob Morin who put this all together!!  Yay, Rob!!

Hello Everyone!

We had a great meeting, January 14th!  It was wonderful to see everyone, meet new guests and new members!

Our February Block Challenge is to make a napkin! Yes, a napkin. :-)   A napkin of the modern esthetic, naturally.  We thought that in an effort to reduce our impact on the environment, it would be cool if everyone made a napkin to use at our meetings. If enjoy making one, make a set for your home! Have fun doing this and don’t stress about it.   I searched online for some tutorials.  Here are a few to give you some ideas.

Have fun! ~ Maureen

I found some great napkin tutorials online:

Sew Mama Sew by Ashley of Film in the Fridge

The Purl Bee  from Purl Soho

Prudent Baby from Jacinda and Jaime

Be*Mused from Jan

Hi Everyone!

Our January Board Meeting  will be held Monday, January 21st, at a new location, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf.  Our board meetings are always open to VMQG members.

We will be meeting in the conference room and will begin at 6pm. Click here to access a map of the Main Street location of Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf.  It’s in the old Barnes and Noble building on the corner of Main and Telephone Road.

CB&TL requires that all attendees purchase “something” from them. A cup of coffee or tea shouldn’t be too expensive.
FYI – We are NOT supposed to bring in outside food, which is understandable since they are providing the meeting room for free.
If you are not a board member or committee chair and plan on attending please leave a comment on this post.

Thanks!
Maureen
